Chrome Web Store Privacy Policy

SweepsGrab Privacy Policy

This page is the privacy policy for the published SweepsGrab Chrome extension, currently represented in this repository by `extensions/sweepsgrab-1.0.0`. It describes what the published SweepsGrab extension handles, what it stores locally, what it sends over the network, and what it does not do.

Effective date: June 13, 2026 Product scope: published SweepsGrab extension only

Scope

This policy applies only to the published SweepsGrab browser extension. It does not apply to private internal tools or the separate Discord monitor extension, which is not being published to the Chrome Web Store.

Summary

  • SweepsGrab mainly runs locally in your browser.
  • The Chrome Web Store build does not use analytics or advertising trackers operated by SweepsGrab.
  • We do not sell your personal information and we do not use browser data for personalized advertising.
  • The optional email field is stored locally in your browser and is only used to autofill giveaway or entry forms when you want that feature.
  • When the extension checks for alerts, it contacts the SweepsGrab feed service over HTTPS.

Information the Chrome Web Store Build Handles

  • Local settings and preferences. This includes items such as theme choice, auto-open preferences, blocked sites, social alert toggles, selected browser window, and recent alert state.
  • Optional email address. If you enter an email address in the extension, it is stored locally and may be used to fill visible email fields on giveaway or entry pages.
  • Alert feed data. The extension downloads alert data from the SweepsGrab feed, which can include alert URLs, site names, site domains, summaries, bonus codes, timestamps, social instructions, and optional signup links.
  • Visited page data needed for the feature. On pages opened by SweepsGrab, the extension may inspect page content, visible buttons, fields, and related page elements to locate claim actions, bonus-code inputs, or email-entry forms. In the Chrome Web Store build, this processing is performed locally in the browser for the claim-helper feature.
  • Local activity records. The extension stores recent alerts, completion states, bonus history, and local debug logs in browser storage so the popup can show what happened on this browser.
  • Standard request metadata. When your browser connects to sweepsgrab.com, feed-v1.sweepsgrab.com, or download.sweepsgrab.com, the receiving server may receive standard network information such as IP address, user agent, and request time as part of normal web delivery and security operations.

Why the Extension Requests Broad Site Access

SweepsGrab is designed to help users with alerts and claim flows that may appear on many different domains, not just a fixed list of known sites. In practice, giveaways, reward pages, social-media destinations, third-party entry forms, redirect pages, campaign pages, and temporary or one-off domains may all be part of a single alert flow.

Because of that, the published extension requests broad page access so it can open the destination a user chooses to act on, inspect the page locally, and help with the related claim or entry steps when supported. This access is requested for feature coverage, not for background collection of unrelated browsing activity.

The extension includes both https://*/* and http://*/* coverage so it can still handle flows that use legacy or temporary non-HTTPS destinations, redirects, or campaign pages.

How We Use This Information

  • To fetch alerts from the SweepsGrab feed.
  • To show alert details, statuses, and history inside the extension.
  • To open the right page, social post, or signup page when you choose to act on an alert.
  • To attempt local auto-claim steps such as finding a claim button, entering a bonus code included with the alert, or filling a visible email field using the optional email you provided.
  • To remember your local preferences on the browser where the extension is installed.
  • To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site and feed services.

What We Share

  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not share your optional email, local recent-alert history, or local debug logs with SweepsGrab servers through the Chrome Web Store build.
  • If the popup displays favicons for alert domains, the extension may request them from Google's favicon service at www.google.com/s2/favicons. That request can disclose the relevant site domain to Google so the favicon can be returned.
  • If you click an optional signup link shown by the extension, the destination site or affiliate network may receive the referral parameters included in that link.
  • If you open a social-media alert or a third-party reward page, your use of that third-party site is governed by that third party's own terms and privacy practices.

Affiliate and Referral Links

SweepsGrab may show optional signup links for certain sites. Some of those links may be affiliate or referral links. They are shown in the extension UI with a disclosure, and they are only used when you choose to click them.

SweepsGrab does not silently inject affiliate links into pages you browse. The affiliate or referral relationship exists only on the specific links shown to you as part of the product experience.

What We Do Not Collect Through the Chrome Web Store Build

  • We do not collect account passwords or saved account credentials through the Chrome Web Store build.
  • We do not run product analytics or uninstall tracking in the Chrome Web Store build.
  • We do not use extension data for personalized advertising, interest-based advertising, or credit-related decisions.
  • We do not upload the contents of the pages SweepsGrab reviews for auto-claim to SweepsGrab servers through the Chrome Web Store build.

Storage and Retention

  • Extension settings and local activity records remain in your browser storage until you change them, clear them, or uninstall the extension.
  • If you remove the optional email from the extension settings, the local stored value is replaced with a blank value on that browser.
  • The Chrome Web Store build does not create a SweepsGrab user account for you.

Security

The Chrome Web Store build uses HTTPS for network requests to SweepsGrab services. Local extension data is stored in your browser profile. You should also protect your device and browser profile with appropriate device security, browser updates, and operating-system updates.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure

SweepsGrab uses Chrome permissions and page access only to provide its user-facing alert, open, and claim-helper features. The Chrome Web Store build does not sell personal or sensitive user data, does not use that data for advertising, and does not transfer that data except as needed to provide the described feature set or as required for ordinary web delivery, security, or legal compliance.

Your Choices

  • You can leave the optional email field blank if you do not want SweepsGrab to autofill giveaway entry forms.
  • You can disable features or uninstall the extension at any time.
  • You can manage local extension data through your browser's extension controls.
